Coffee Shop Makeover

What have I been up to for the past few days? I've been covered in paint working like crazy, along with my family, at my sister's coffee shop. Although it was a lot of work, we had so much fun.

We gave it a much-needed makeover with paint (mustard + gray = fabulous), new lighting, and, of course, some fun decorations.

I painted this verse onto the wall and really like how it turned out.

The long windows came from an old barn that a friend of mine was renovating. The plates on the wall came from HomeGoods and Pier 1, and I painted the "featured art" sign using an old piece of wood.

Can we just talk about how awesome this clock is?? I mean, really. Sara & I saw it at Hobby Lobby and decided it just had to be in the shop. We had lots of fun shopping for the makeover.

The shop is now updated, fresh, and fits my sister's style perfectly. If you're local, you must visit soon and tell her I sent you (maybe she'll give me free drinks in return, thankyouverymuch).

Now it's time to get started on painting my studio! Sheesh. I need a vacation!

  1. Where does the gigantic fork and spoon come from? I can't wait to go to New Holland Coffee Co. I live local and it is my FAVORITE coffee shop around here. Can't wait to see the update! -Rochelle

    1. Lil ~ we used industrial strength sticky-back velcro and it works great! You can find it at hardware or sewing stores and Walmart.

This is exciting. I'm kind of a local to Lanc. Co. I almost know it like the back of my hand. Out there monthly to do a HUGE grocery shop. I'm going to have to stop by on a "fun" trip...one time.
So, it's true then...? If we drop your name as a "here's how I know about this place", we get free coffee? ;)

I'm a real coffee fan. And especially Christian Coffee shops. Too fun.

  7. Wow, that is so cool! I had no idea the owner was your sister! I was in there when I was in Pennsylvania the last time, and saw some amazing signs on the walls and was like, "This has GOT to be Aimee Weaver's work!!" So now I know it was! :) How FUN for you to style it together!

And I'm super excited for you about your work room! How wonderful!! I am saving up money for one of those. :) I can't wait to see yours!

The clock is awesome. It fits the personality of the shop, I think, and I've never even been there.

I sent her the link to this page, and she said it was even more beautiful in person! You did a wonderful job using the gifts God has blessed you with! What a testimony to Him!
